Joey Marshall has been serving as Student and Family Minister at Southside since November of 2008. Joey felt a call to ministry at a young age while serving on a mission trip. Before coming to Southside, Joey served as an associate in student and college ministry at Central Baptist in Jacksonville, TX. As family minister, Joey partners with parents to minister to children and students. He also ministers to families through mission trips, family outreach events and an annual family ministry conference. As student minister, Joey is responsible for Wednesday night youth worship, and special events like youth camp and Disciple Now.
He and his wife Kendall grew up in East Texas, and were married in May of 2007. Joey and Kendall are both full-time college students; Joey is majoring in Sociology at UT Tyler, and Kendall is an elementary education major at Letourneau. When Joey is not at the church or school, he enjoys playing the guitar and collecting musical equipment.
